Twitch is owned by Amazon, which purchased the streaming platform for $970 million in summer 2014. The update's full release notes can be read here. The Twitch integration should be rolled out to all Xbox users in the coming months, according to The Verge's resident Microsoft expert Tom Warren. With this update, called Alpha Skip-Ahead, users can also play Xbox Series X/S titles on Xbox One via cloud gaming. A Twitch account can then be linked and a "Go live now" button clicked to start streaming to Twitch. Xbox Insiders can choose "Live Streaming" by navigating to the "Capture and Share" tab on the menu. Whereas Xbox owners previously had to download the Twitch app to stream, now the function has been integrated directly into the console's OS. This new system update comes with a couple of new features. Xbox Insiders should already have access to this Xbox update from the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring.

Twitch was previously integrated into the Xbox One dashboard, beginning in 2014, but was removed by Microsoft in 2017.
